Abstract
Hazardous waste cleanup sites create health hazards by the nature of their contamination. In addition, they adversely impact human health by air emissions generated during site characterization and remedial processes. These emissions can be substantial, especially those associated with energy utilization at waste sites. The Waste Site Energy Calculator is a web based tool that estimates energy requirements of individual remedial technologies at waste clean up sites and computes the air emissions produced by remedial processes, Global Warming Potential and presents the energy efficiency at remedial sites.
Abstract (in Czech)
Energetický kalkulátor vznikl jako výsledek spolupráce mezi Pacific Northwest Pollution Resource Center (PPRC) a Fakultou informatiky Masarykovy Univerzity. Článek po-pisuje návrh a analýzu projektu i s rozborem jednotlivých použitých technologií.
