Abstract
When comparing genomes of T. pallidum subspecies, no extensive differences in genome structure between pallidum and pertenue subspecies including deletions and multiplications of genes using DNA microarray technology have been found. Sequencing showed no deletions and insertions of nucleotides (no ORF shifts). One can predict, that pallidum and pertenue genomes differ in one nucleotide per every 1640 bps (altogether in 700 nts). Anotace anglicky: No extensive differences in genome structure between pallidum and pertenue subspecies including deletions and multiplications of genes using DNA microarray technology have been found.
