N2 - Masaryk University Clearing is a system for central balancing of claims and liabilities between Masaryk University in Brno (an organisation as a whole) and individual people (employees or students). The central part of the system, called clearing core, needs to communicate and exchange standardised information with a series of external systems administering various paid-for services provided by the University to individual people. To support this communication, a communication protocol called CCP (Clearing Communication Protocol) has been designed and implemented. The paper gives a brief overview of the Clearing system architecture, and concentrates on major principles and features of the CCP.
