Abstract

Zkoumání sebehodnocení intelektově nadaných dětí je součástí výzkumu sociability a emocionality nadaných dětí v ČR. Na výzkumu participovalo 60 dětí nadaných ve věku 7 9 let a 100 dětí spadajících do průměrného inteligenčního pásma. Ke zjišťování struktury inteligence jsme použili Wechslerovu škálu inteligence pro děti, sebehodnocení jsme zjišťovali pomocí Harters Self-Perception Profile for Children. Také učitelé posuzovali sebehodnocení dětí v některých oblastech v rámci Teachers Rating Scale of Childs Actual Behaviour. Výsledky ukázaly, že nadanější děti dosahují vyššího sebehodnocení v oblasti školních dovedností, než děti méně nadané. Nejnižšího sebehodnocení naopak dosahují v oblastech sociální akceptace a pohybových dovedností. Globální sebehodnocení nadaných dětí je determinováno školními dovednostmi a chováním. Mezi dívkami a chlapci jsme zjistili rozdíly v oblastech sociální akceptace, fyzického vzhledu a chování. Dívky se hodnotí lépe sociálně adaptované, fyzicky přitažlivější a lépe se chovají, ve srovnání se sebehodnocením chlapců. Tyto výsledky korespondují i s hodnocením učitelů.

Abstract (in English)

The investigation of the gifted childrens self-esteem is one part of the research of the sociability and emotionality of the gifted in the Czech Republic. The research was carried out in the sample of children at the age of 7-9. 60 gifted children were compared with 100 non-gifted children. We used Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children to investigate the structure of the intelligence and Harters Self-perception profile for children to describe childrens multidimensional self-esteem. Teachers assessed childrens self-esteem with the Teachers Rating Scale of Childs Actual Behaviour. We found out that gifted children have better self-concept in the domain of school competence. They achieved the lowest self-esteem in the domains of social acceptance and athletic competence. The global self-esteem of gifted children is determined by school competence and behavioral conduct. Gifted girls described themselves as having a more positive self-concept in the domains of social acceptance, behavioral conduct and physical appearance than did gifted boys. These results also correspond with the teachers evaluations.
