Abstract
Fluoxetine and the combined treatment with methamphetamine inhibited oxidative metabolism by the CYP2C6 and CYP2D2 and CYP3A1/2. Fluoxetine therapy could slow down biodegradation of methamphetamine in methamphetamine dependent subjects and thus the psychotropic effect of the drug can be maintained by smaller doses.
