V originále
The relationship between baroreflex sensitivity (BRS) and the frequency of the peak in blood-pressure (BP) spectra around 0.1Hz was evaluated. A positive correlation between BRS and the frequency of the spectral peak in systolic and diastolic BP was found in normotensives, but not in hypertensives. Also correlation between age and BRS was found only in normotensives. The results indicate the additional abnormality of blood-ressure regulation in hypertensive subjects.
