Abstract |
---|
The Hirudinea community was studied over two years (May 1999 April 2001) in the lowland sixth order river Rokytná (Czech Republic) on four sampling points, which were different in such parameters as water velocity, depth and substratum. Erpobdella octoculata and E. vilnensis represented two dominant species from seven recorded Hirudinea species. Because the situation on the river bottom changed permanently, we measured the water depth and velocity and for each sample calculated the Froude number (Fr). According to the ranges of Fr values the samples were then sorted into three categories (from the sub-critical to the critical flow). So we did not compare habitat preferences of leeches to the same sampling point but preferences of certain hydrodynamic conditions. |

Společenstvo pijavic Hirudinea bylo studováno během dvouletého období (květen 1999 až duben 2001) v nížinném toku 6. řádu řece Rokytné (ČR) na čtyřech odběrových místech lišících se rychlostí proudění, hloubkou a charakterem substrátu. Erpobdella octoculata and E. vilnensis představovaly dominantní druhy mezi 7 nalezenými druhy pijavic. Vzhledem k proměnlivé situaci na říčním dně byla pro každý vzorek vyhodnocena hodnota Froudova čísla (Fr). Podle těchto hodnot byly vzorky rozděleny do 3 kategorií (od pod-kritického až po kritické proudění). U sledovaných druhů nebyly srovnávány habitatové preference pijavic pro určité místo, ale pro určité hydrodynamické podmínky. |
