Abstract
This paper attempts to analyse the ways in which Tom Stoppard works with and reworks the Shakespearean canon, with respect to plays Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Doggs Hamlet, Cahoots Macbeth and the screenplay for Shakespeare in Love.

Příspěvek analyzuje způsoby, jakými současný britský dramatik Tom Stoppard pracuje se shakespearovským kánonem, především ve hrách Rosenkrantz a Guildenstern jsou mrtvi a Doggův Hamlet, Krhútův Makbeth a ve scénáři k filmu Zamilovaný Shakespeare.
