Abstract
The contribution concentrates on some linguistics-oriented subjects offered to future teachers of English in the department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University in Brno and tries to suggest what should be included in their syllabi.

Příspěvek se soustřeďuje na několik lingvisticky zaměřených disciplín, které jsou nabízeny budoucím učitelům angličtiny ve studijních programech na Katedře anglického jazyka a literatury na Pedagogické fakultě v Brně, a snaží se poukázat na to, co by mělo být obsaženo v jejich sylabech.
