Abstract
Cíl: Cílem práce bylo sekvenovat genom Treponema pallidum subsp. pallidum SS14 a porovnat získanou kompletní genomovou sekvenci se sekvencí T. pallidum subsp. pallidum Nichols. Oba porovnávané kmeny způsobují pohlavně přenosné onemocnění syfilis. Celkem bylo v genomu kmene SS14 nalezeno 329 SNP, 7 delecí a 4 inzerce.
Abstract (in English)
The genome of Treponema pallidum ssp. pallidum strain SS14, the causative agent of syphilis, was sequenced using oligonucleotide arrays. The sequences of more than 49 kb of the SS14 genome were verified by capillary sequencing approach. When compared to T. pallidum ssp. pallidum strain Nichols, the genome of SS14 contained 329 single nucleotide changes (219 transitions and 104 transversions), 7 deletions and 4 insertions.
