Abstract
Nucleic acid bases and nucleosides posses an extraordinary high ability of self-association at the electrode surface and can form there by two-dimensional condensation a self-assembled monolayer SAM, a compact film. This property was probably significant for the origin of life at earth.

Base nukleových kyselin a nukleosidy mají vyjímečně velkou schopnost mezi sebou asociovat na povrchu elektrody a dvojrozměrnou kondenzací tam vytvořit samouspořádanou monomolekulární vrstvu (SAM, kompaktní film. Tato vlastnost byla pravděpodobně důležitá pro vznik života na zemi.
