Už před vstupem České republiky do Evropské unie bylo zřejmé, že s možností čerpání ze strukturálních fondů se otevírá významná možnost pro neziskový sektor. Společný regionální operační program poskytuje pro NNO poměrně dost možností, zejména v formě grantových schémat vyhlašovaných jednotlivými kraji v oblasti rozvoje lidských zdrojů a sociální integrace v regionech a také v rámci Priority 4 zaměřené na rozvoj cestovního ruchu.

NGOs were eligible for the support from structural funds before the Czech Republic entered the EU and now have a variety of opportunities to acquire a grant from these funds. The JROP offers significant opportunities for NGOs of varied type, the main source of support is in the form of grant schemes managed by regional authorities in the field of human resource development, education, social integration in regions and also in the Priority 4: Development of Tourism.
