Abstract
MSF is a truncated (70kDa) isoform of fibronecting displaying number of potent biactivities mediated by IGD-amino acid motif. Two MSF isoforms, differing in terms of 15 amino acid deletion in a module II-1, have been identified. While IGD-mediated bioactivities od both isoforms are identical, deleted isoform (MSF-aa) is not inhibited by recently characterised inhibitor produced by normal keratinocytes. Furthermore, various cancer cell lines produce MSF activity which is not inhibited or partly inhibited by MSF inhibitor.

Práce popisuje objev jedné z isoforem zkrácené formy fibronektinu (s funkcí matrikinu), která na rozdíl od ostatních není inhibovatelná fyziologickým inhibitorem produkovaným normálními keratinocyty. Různé nádorové buněčné linie produkují MSF aktivitu, kterou není možno inhibovat tímto nově popsaným inhibitorem.
