Abstract

Tvorba člena vídeňské akademie, malíře Franze Xavera Wagenschöna zahrnuje řadu prací mytologického obsahu. Z různorodého konvolutu kreseb s mytologickou tematikou vystupuje zajímavý jednotný cyklus dvanácti perokreseb ze sbírek Slezského zemského muzea v Opavě, k němuž je možno připočítat ještě jednu kresbu ze soukromé sbírky. Cyklus opavských kreseb částečně ukazuje nezvyklou a raritní tematiku, která však souhrnně vychází z textu Ovidiových Metamorfóz. Příspěvek nabízí vedle některých nových ikonografických specifikací též formální komparace kreseb s ilustrovanými vydáními Ovidiových Metamorfóz.

Abstract (in English)

The ample oeuvre of the Viennese academic painter Franz Xaver Wagenschön contains numerous works with mythological themes. Among the disparate drawings depicting mythological scenes stands out a homogenous set of twelve pen drawings from collections of the Silesian Museum in Opava to which it is possible to add another drawing from a private collection. Drawings from Opava show partly unusual and rare themes and they are based on stories from Ovid`s Metamorphoses. This article offers some new thematic identifications and comparisons of Wagenschön`s ovidian drawings, namely with illustrated prints of Ovid`s Metamorphoses.
