Abstract
The sediments of the Moravian part of the Carpathian Foredeep (Eggenburgian to Lower Badenian (Burdigalian Langhian) ages) were studied from the palynological point of view They were of marine or brackish origin. Pollen and spores confirm a warm - subtropical climate in the whole studied interval.Practically all the Lower Miocene palynospectra are strongly facially influenced. This fact is reflected in the proportional changes between the paleotropic and arctotertiary members.
