Abstract

Vydání knihy Psychological Therapy od švýcarského profesora psychologie Klause Graweho vyzývá k novému zamyšlení nad zkoumáním účinnosti psychoterapie. Na efekty psychoterapie je možné dívat se medicínsko-terapeuticky, ale také z pohledu vědecké psychologie. Kniha, zkomponovaná jako fiktivní trialog, který spolu vedou praktik – terapeut, akademický psycholog a výzkumník, je od 90. let minulého století vlivným textem v německé jazykové oblasti Evropy (pod shodným názvem: Psychologische Therapie). Diskusní text vychází z nedávného anglického vydání knihy a seznamuje čtenáře jak s Graweho dílem a přístupem k psychoterapii, tak s některými dalšími výzkumy potvrzující účinnost psychoterapie. Na české scéně se dosud vědnímu a výzkumnému zkoumání a obhajobě psychoterapie nevěnovala dostatečná pozornost.

Abstract (in English)

The article provides the commentary on Klaus Grawe's recently published book Psychological Therapy (Hogrefe & Huber, 2004). In this review the book is welcomed as one of the important summary of the psychological perspectives in psychotherapy. The particular emphasis that author points out in the review are some issues, e.g. available research evidences known from the past decades of research, question what works in psychotherapy and some outcome results and approaches in research now. The personality of the therapist, his/her personal and communicative attributes, or e.g. the sudden gains in the therapy and the research of the process are mentioned, too. The aim of the article is to introduce a complex thinking that has been established by Grawe's Swiss group and to rethink the importance of complexity of psychotherapy in the Czech psychology today. The work recently closed by Grawe's death remains the one of the most scientific approaches to psychotherapy and a psychological model of psychotherapy. The impact of his contribution is welcomed as a challenge for Czech psychologists and psychotherapists.
