The second half of the 20th century in Europe is characterized by a relative decline in significance of passenger railway transport. International transport is one facet of this theme. The following article deals with the evolution of international transport in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia from the eighties to the present day.

Druhá polovina 20. století je v Evropě charakteristická relativním poklesem významu osobní železniční dopravy. Jedním aspektem tohoto tématu je i mezinárodní doprava, jejímuž vývoji v České republice a na Slovensku od 80. let do současnosti do současnosti se věnuje tento článek.
