Předložená práce se zabývá tématem strachů v období rané adolescence. Výzkumný vzorek tvořili respondenti zahrnutí do mezinárodního projektu ELSPAC (European Longitudinal Study of Pregnancy and Childhood). Na základě metody volné produkce Koláč strachu byly získány subjektivní výpovědi o obsazích strachů v období 11 a 13 let. Ze získaných výpovědí bylo vytvořeno 19 obecných kategorií mapujících šíři dané problematiky. Celkový výskyt a obsahy strachů souvisely s osobnostními charakteristikami respondentů (neuroticismus, extraverze) a také s některými aspekty výchovného prostředí.

The presented study deals with the topic of fears in the early adolescence. The sample consisted of respondents of the ELSPAC project (European Longitudinal Study of Pregnancy and Childhood). On the basis of the Cake of Fear method (which works with self-generated fears), subjective responses about the contents of fears in the age of 11 and 13 were collected. These contents were categorized into 19 general classes which cover the wide-range of the topic. The prevalence of fears and their contents were related to personality characteristics of the respondents (neuroticism, extraversion) and also to some aspects of the family environment.
