This book contributes to a theoretically informed analysis of regional parties and regional party arrangements in the context of a comprehensive research into the formative process and functioning of party systems. The first part of the book is devoted to a body of problems directly related to the definition and typology of regional parties and regional party arrangements. The second part consists of a series of seven brief typological studies dealing with regional parties and party systems in selected European countries.

Kniha přispívá k teoreticky fundované analýze regionálních stran a regionálních stranických soustav v kontextu souhrnného výzkumu utváření a fungování stranických systémů. První část knihy je věnována problémům spjatým s vymezením a typologií regionálních stran a regionálních stranických soustav. Druhá část je tvořena sedmi krátkými typologickými studiemi, jež se zabývají stranami a stranickými systémy ve vybraných evropských regionech.
