Abstract
The study tested an antidepressant effect of cannabidiol (CBD) in olfactory bulbectomized (OB) mice, a well-established animal model of depression resembling behavioural, immune and endocrine changes. CBD did not show antidepressant behavioural properties in this animal model. This can discussed in relation to our previous results in social defeat mouse model, where CBD appeared to elicit anxiolytic activity. Reversal of the suppressed leukocyte phagocytosis in the OB mice by CBD correlates with the stimulatory effect of cannabinoids reffered in the literature.
Abstract (in Czech)
Sledovány byly behaviorální a imunitní účinky kanabidiolu v myším modelu deprese - bilaterální olfaktorické bulbektomie. Behaviorální antidepresivní účinky kanabidiolu nebyly jednoznačně prokázány. Kanabidiol normalizoval potlačenou leukocytární fagocytózu v použitém zvířecím modelu deprese.
