Abstract
Je velmi obtížné podat přesný výklad speciální teorie relativity (SRT) na úrovni znalostí, které získají studenti na střední škole. Náš příspěvek, který má motivační charakter by měl podat základní informace o GPS (Global Positioning System) a o využití závěrů SRT při objasnění jeho funkce.
Abstract (in English)
There are several reasons which do not allow to devote to the Special Relativity Theory (SRT) time enough just for the latest class of secondary school. In our contributon ve first have shown how to get the corresponding formula effectively. The second part is devoted to very important technic application of SRT. The well known GPS system would not work without relativity of simultaneity of events.
