Abstract

Příspěvek se zabývá paratexty provázejícími překlady anglicky psané poezie do češtiny publikované v letech 2000 až 2005, s důrazem na strategie, pomocí nichž je konstruována jejich relevantnost pro českého čtenáře. V daném paratextovém souboru se poměrně jasně vydělila maximalizující paratextová strategie u překladů z americké poezie, v protikladu k paratextové strategii pohybující se v pásmu střídmosti (u překladů z poezie britské provenience). Příspěvek dále zpřehledňuje překladovou produkci v daném období oboru poezie z různých hledisek (nakladatel, překladatel, původce paratextů, typ publikace, datace zdrojového textu apod.).

Abstract (in English)

The paper discusses paratexts accompanying translations of poetry written in English into Czech published in 2000-2005, focusing on strategies used to construct their relevance for the Czech reader. Within the set of paratexts analyzed, a "maximizing" paratext strategy was clearly identified as associated with translations of American poetry, in contrast to sparingly used paratexts accompanying translations of British origin. The paper also sums up the poetic translation output published in the years studied from different points of view (publishers, translators, authors of paratexts, publication types, ST publication dates etc.)
