Abstract

Masarykova univerzita se rozhodla jít cestou implementace e-learningu přímo do administrativního informačního systému (Informačního systému Masarykovy univerzity, IS MU). Cílem bylo vytvořit zázemí pro plošné nasazení e-learningu v prostředí devíti různých fakult a čtyřiceti tisíc uživatelů, což je odlišná situace proti předchozí etapě tvorby kurzů nadšenců a průkopníků e-learningu v limitovaném prostředí, která však tvoří začátek dějin e-learningu na MU. V příspěvku budou zmíněny e-learningové agendy Informačního systému MU, projekt e-techniků, co přináší e-learning na MU studentům, co učitelům a jaké existují sporné otázky připravené k řešení.

Abstract (in English)

For Masaryk University, which houses nine faculties attended by more than thirty-eight thousand students, e-learning currently represents an indispensable teaching tool. However, designing e-learning applications covering most fields and specializations as well as preparing the conditions in which these will represent an asset rather than a hindrance even for IT laymen is by no means an easy task to solve. The major factor affecting the form the e-learning applications had in the past was a group of devoted developers whose products were of limited coverage as regards the number of students using these. While this small-scale development may work for a small school, a large university requires that a more sophisticated infrastructure in terms of technology, methodology, and personnel be deployed. Masaryk University has given rise to new and unique projects that have proved fruitful and that can be put into operation in both small and large universities.
