Abstract

Genderová studia se často dostávají pod palbu kritiky z důvodu své angažovanosti. Avšak právě otevřené přihlášení se k zaujetí perspektivity, k vlastní situovanosti je tím, co česká genderová studia spojuje s významnými soudobými sociálně-vědními proudy v mezinárodním kontextu. Po debatách, jež v rámci sociálních věd různými způsoby otevřely kritická teorie a postmoderna, přestala angažovanost být zakázanou třináctou komnatou, ale stala se naopak neopomenutelným aspektem každé disciplíny. V českém kontextu zatím ve větším měřítku nebyla rozvinuta diskuse konfrontující konvenční epistemologický požadavek po neutrální, čisté vědě s epistemologickými přístupy zdůrazňujícími zásadní situovanost vědění a jeho sociální angažovanost: věda se vždy dělá v zájmu někoho, rozdíl je jen v tom, v zájmu koho (státu, utlačovaných skupin, elit...). Cílem Genderových konfrontací III. je přenést debatu na toto téma z pole obrany genderových studií na širší fórum reflexe vědní a výzkumné praxe.

Abstract (in English)

Gender confrontations bring the possibility to open a discussion about questions which are often asked within the field of gender studies but are relevant also for other disciplines. This discussion symposium opens the floor for interdisciplinary discussion and tries to involve social scientists who are not primarily interested in gender issues as well as feminist and gender scholars. The topic of Gender confrontations III was a Science with commitment and the event gave a great opportunity for discussion among scholars and representatives of the faculty and university about questions of freedom, neutrality, commitment, public, commercial and state interests in doing science.
