Abstract
Recently discovered endocannabinoid system is, according to pieces of knowledge available, involved in regulation of number of both central and peripheral physiological functions. Those are under further investigation and there is seeking for approaches how to influence them exogenously with pharmacotherapeutical intents. Among reasonable indications are substance abuse and metabolic syndrome what is discussed in the article.
