KW - peer attachment KW - adolescence KW - longitudinal study KW - latent change model UR - http://ivdmr.fss.muni.cz/info/download.php L2 - http://ivdmr.fss.muni.cz/info/download.php N2 - According to continuity theory, parental and peer attachment correlate in adolescence. Although many studies support both mean and rank stability of parental attachment dimensions on various samples, there are still identifiable adolescents reporting changes in their relationships with parents during adolescence, due to various causes. Aim of this study report is to examine the ways these changes possibly influence attachment relationships with peers. Research data were obtained in ELSPAC study in Czech Republic. Sample N = 300; respondents followed up from 11 to 15 years for purpose of this study. Using structural equation modelling (SEM), we propose longitudinal model predicting peer attachment represented by subscales of trust, alienation and interpersonal dependence both from perceived relationships with parents and time-related changes in these relationships. Especially gender aspects and non-linear effects challenging the validity of change modelling with SEM are taken into consideration. ER -
