No apparent correlation exist between GC content and genome size across major lineages of angiosperms. A significant positive correlation was found between GC content and genome size in closely related taxa. The relationship between GC content is probably hidden in events of polyploidization.

Žádná korelation GC obsahem a velikostí genomu neexistuje napříč krytosemennými. Signifikantní pozitivní korelace však byla nalezena mezi těmito druhově specifickými genomickými parametry v rámci skupin blízce příbuzných taxonů s různou velikostí genomu.
