Abstract
Společná dopravní politika EU (CTP) stanoví pro železniční dopravu cíle, které mají zajistit konkurenceschopnost železnic a v té souvislosti i celé evropské ekonomiky. Tyto cíle konfrontujeme s ekonomickými kritérii (zejména s úsporami z hustoty dopravy) a vysvětlujeme za jakých podmínek může CTP přispět ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti ekonomiky EU, a za jakých podmínek bude její účinek kontraproduktivní.
Abstract (in English)
Common transport policy of the EU (CTP) set up several targets for railway transport, which are supposed to bring competitive advantage to railways and in the same time to the whole European economy. We analyze these targets using economic criteria (namely economies of transport density) and explain possibilities and limits of the CTP.
