Abstract

Cílem příspěvku je popsat a analyzovat pohyby kapitálu v průběhu transformace v Polsku v letech 1990 až 2005 a identifikovat dopady pohybu kapitálu na konkurenceschopnost polské ekonomiky. Příspěvek se nejdříve zaměřuje na přímé zahraniční investice a jejich vliv na konkurenceschopnost. Popisuje jejich pohyb v průběhu transformace a jeho příčiny. Poté se věnuje také vývoji a vlivu portfoliových investic, krátkodobého a dlouhodobého kapitálu na konkurenceschopnost.

Abstract (in English)

The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze movements of capital during transformation in Poland in the period 1990 till 2005, and to identify the impact of the capital movements on competitiveness of Polish economy. First, it focuses on the Foreign direct investment and the impact on competitiveness. It describes the inflows and outflouws during the transformation and their reasons. Then it shows the capital movements of the portfolio investment, short-term investment and long-term investment and their trends and influence on competitiveness.
