The study has shown a meintenance in anthropometric variables as well as improvement of psychopathological variables in a group of patients with eating disorders on special inpatient program and antidepressant treatment. Individuals with eating disorders, especially anorexia nervosa, are inherently difficult to treat, even in an inpatient setting. This retrospective study confirmed a benefit from a comprehensive spproach to the treatment of patients with eating disorders.

Studie prokázala, že reakce pacientů s poruchami příjmu potravy na léčbu antidepresivy je velmi proměnlivá.Hospitalizovaní pacienti prošli speciálním programem léčbou antidepresivy. Ukázalo se, že u pacientů s poruchy příjmu potravy, zvláště s mentální anorexii, je velmi obtížné nastavit správnou léčbu. Retrospektivní studie potvrdila nutnost individuálního přístupu k pacientům s poruchami příjmu potravy.
