Abstract

V originále

18F-FDG-positron emission tomography (PET) appears to be highly sensitive and specific in follicular lymphoma (FL). By contrast its usefulness in FL has not clearly been defined. We wanted to evaluate role of PET in staging and restaging of this disease. PET may ontribute to the management of patients with follicular lymphoma, in the staging it can often substantially change treatment strategy. PET-positivity after treatment predicts high risk of early relaps and can identify patients with poor prognosis.
