Abstract
Text focuses mainly on description of and commentary on the democratic governance development in the specific area of Czech public and social policy comprising the employment and labor market. This is an area that is the subject of systematic and long-term research effort of the report author. In my opinion, however, some general development tendencies the Czech democratic policy underwent at the turn of the century can be captured through the public policy of the labor market.
