Abstract

V léčbě deprese se využívá farmakoterapie, různé stimulační metody (EEG, rTMS) a méně obvyklé terapeutické přístupy (např. léčba světlem). Základním kritériem pro volbu léčebného postupu je intenzita deprese. U těžší deprese je vždy nezbytná léčba biologická. Lékem první volby, zejména v praxi lékaře prvního kontaktu, jsou specifické inhibitory zpětného vychytávání serotoninu. Léčbu deprese je třeba vždy individualizovat, je třeba vždy léčit agresivně, do dosažení remise a dostatečnou dávkou po dostačující dobu. Nezbytné je monitorování léčebné odpovědi a snášenlivosti.
