Abstract

Autor studie zkoumá na základě primárních pramenů kolonizační procesy a historický vývoj českého osídlení dnešního srbského Banátu, kam Češi přicházeli jako kolonisté po skončení válek habsburské monarchie s osmanskou říší od počátku 19. století. Článek popisuje počátky české kolonizace, která do řídce osídlené nejvýchodnější části habsburské monarchie směřovala od 20. let 19. století, její těžkosti a postupnou stabilizaci českého osídlení.

Abstract (in English)

The autor of the paper of study by examining the primary sources on the colonization processes and the historical development of the Czech settlement in the Serbian Banat, where Czechs used to migrate as colonists after the Hapsburg-Ottoman Wars at the beginning of the 19th century. The author describes the troublesome beginnings and a gradual stabilization of the Czech colonization of the scarcely populated easternmost parts of the Hapsburg Empire, which commenced in the 1820s.
