Abstract

Přibližně 80 % obcí na území České republiky má méně než 1000 obyvatel a tato skutečnost má negativní vliv na efektivitu výkonu veřejné správy. Příspěvek se zabývá převážně otázkou meziobecní spolupráce, která se stala jedním z nejdůležitějších témat během 3. fáze současné reformy územní veřejné správy. Analýza je založena na datech z vlastního dotazníkového šetření. V červnu 2006 byly 600 starostů v ČR osloveno dotazníkem, který zjišťoval jejich postoje, názory, náměty a připomínky k problematice meziobecní spolupráce.

Abstract (in English)

Approximately 80 % of municipalities in the Czech Republic have less than 1 000 inhabitants and this fact has negative influence on efficiency of the public administration. The paper deals especially with the issue of the intermunicipal cooperation which is one of the most important issues during the 3rd phase of the current territorial administration reform. The analysis is based on the dates from the own questionnaire survey. In June 2006, 600 Czech mayors were asked what they thought about intermunicipal cooperation and what were their proposals, ideas and opinions.
