Abstract

In English

Shopping centers have a strong impact on traffic system in the cities and in their peripheral parts (customers from whole city and from round region). Motorway D2 (Brno – Bratislava) and other near ways are high charged by large centers (Shopping park and Olympia). Shopping centers have strong impact on Big city circle Brno because few center were locate near the circle. All big cities (Praha, Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc etc.) have a shopping center (or few shopping centers) on majority main roads outside the city. Conclusion for Czech republic is protection of city circles, preferences for smaller shops and moratorium on shopping centers with whole city or super city importance).
