The results of morphometric, petrographic and geochemical study suggests that pebbles belong to eroded upper levels of the Brno Massif and its crystalline envelope. Sedimentation of polymict conglomerate has been accompanied by explosive rhyolitic volcanism with A-type affinity. The Hády conglomerate represents alluvial sediment which was deposited into a continental extension basin. This can be connected very probably with initial phase of the Brunovistulian rifting. The western part of the Brno Massif had to be intensively eroded in the time of the Hády conglomerate formation. ER -
