Stať se zabývá souvislostmi mezi modelování světa v literárním díle a hodnotami, které jsou pro daný model světa charakteristické, zaměřuje pozornosti i na hodnoty skryté v metodách a nástrojích, jichž autor používá. Poukazuje na to, že už např. volba žánru je svým způsobem hodnotovou volbou.

In English

The article deals with the theme of the value in a literary work. It focuses not only on the traditional values demonstrated in the behaviour of literary heroes but on the values connected with the form and instruments and methods at writers disposal. In this context the recognized norms of literary activity play an important role at each period. A model of the world is generated as the result of the interaction of all these factors and signifies the literary pieces of various epochs and various writers, too.
