N2 - The model of the Narrative Oriented Inquiry is explored. Six approaches to analysis and interpretation are demonstrated by the story of woman suffering from breast cancer: sjuzet - fabula, holistic - content, holistic - form, categorical - content, categorical - form, and critical narrative analysis. Narrative analysis and interpretation are often overlaped which requires a commitment to transparency as a basic principle of qualitative research and great emphasis upon reflexivity and other hermeneutic principles of understanding.
