Za pomoci kvantitativní metody zvané 'rekalibrovaná glottochronologie' je v články analyzována vzájemná příbuznost mezi třemi rétorománskými idiomy, konkrétně švýcarskou rétorománštinou (rumanš), dolomitskou ladinštinou a furlánštinou neboli friulštinou. Řešena je též otázka jejich vztahu k standardní italštině.

In the article the internal relations of three Rheto-Romance idioms, namely Rhine Rumansh from Swiss, Dolomite Ladino and Furlan, both from Northern Italy, and their external relationship with the standard Italian language are solved using the quantitative method called 'recalibrated glottochronology'.
