Abstract

V originále

The authors of the paper describe some of the efforts to enhance importance and role both the early warning and crises management activities and the role of cartography and geoinformatics to improve quality of that complex processes. While early warning is more process oriented activity, crises management is more about practical decision making and particular steps to be taken. The first one has been seriously developed on the level of states in the last several years; the second one is being realized by huge and complex organizational, technological and personal measures. New cartographic approaches such as adaptable and context mapping are giving new possibilities to visualize on-line crises management and early warning processes and offer solutions in the form of visualized models . SDIs are necessary preconditions to create effective system of services which will support decision makers by visualized information in digital or analogue forms according to agreed standards as well as work for inhabitants in the situations of danger by delivering just in time and individualised information which could help inhabitants to solve situation or evacuate.

In Czech

Příspěvek analyzuje možnosti a roli kartografie a geoinformatiky v rámci včasného varování a krizového řízení. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována hlavním rozdílům obou činností a metodice využití adaptivní kartografické vizulazice ve spojení s geoinformačními infrastrukturami.
