Evidence for formation of these rocks under high pressures and temperatures is presented. Established mineral assemblages, mineral reactions, major element zoning of garnet, P-T estimates e.o. are used to reconstruct P-T paths for the granulites. Results of U-Pb zircon dating and its interpretations are discussed. Synopsis of the published P-T paths, cooling and exhumation rates as well as their geotectonic interpretations are presented. ER -
