Abstract |
---|
The paper analyses the process of railways restructuring in Europe. As model countries have been chosen Britain, Germany and France. These countries have been following the same directives of EC, but they differ substantially in the energy, details and impacts of reforms. Britain has been an early and dedicated reformer and after completing vertical unbundling continued with complete division and privatization of the industry. Germany retained the institutional integrity and put an emphasis on the regional competition. France, despite completed vertical unbundling, has shown little effort in the introduction of real competition. |
