The paper presents preliminary findings from a three year (2005 to 2007) project of the same name. The share of nonprofit organisations in the provision of public services, supported by the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic under No. 402/05/0974. It contains the results of the work of a team of researchers from the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University and from the Centre for Nonprofit Sector Research. The conclusions that the authors draw are based on the comparison of the analyses of the provision of public services in culture and social services.
