In filologia italiana le opere che compaiono nei manoscritti miscellanei vengono di solito trattate separatamente. Un nuovo approccio metodologico che prenda in considerazione le serie ricorrenti di opere nei manoscritti puo dare migliori risultati: un maggior numero di testimoni, individuazione di manoscritti interpositi perduti, un testo piu esteso su cui basare lo stessa codicum, e talvolta delle prove per retrodatare un testo.

V italské textové kritice jsou díla obsažená ve smíšených rukopisných kodexech zpravidla posuzována odděleně. Nový metodologický přístup, který bere v úvahu celé série děl obsažených v rukopisech, může vést k lepším výsledkům: větší počet dokumentů, zjištění chybějících částí rukopisu, rozsáhlejší text, podle něhož lze určit stemma codicum, někdy též důkazy pro zpětné datování textů.

Works that appear in miscellaneous manuscripts are usually dealt with separately in Italian philology. An new approach that takes into account recurring clusters of works in manuscripts, can provide better results: a higher number of witnesses, discovery of interposite witnesses wanting, a longer text to build a stemma on, sometimes can provide arguments for earlier datation of a text.
