Abstract
Sorption and biotransformation of arsenate by water bloom forming cyanobacterial biomass (predominantly Microcystis sp.) has been studied in this work. Biomass coming from Brno dam reservoir was cultivated in river water enriched by arsenate for 6 days. Water and aqueous extracts of biomass were subjected to anion exchange chromatographic analysis (Hamilton PRP X-100 column, ammonium acetate mobile phase pH 6.0) with ICP-MS detection. Quantitative reduction of arsenate to arsenite was observed followed by biomethylation mainly to dimethylarsinate (DMA).

V prácibyla studována sorpce arseničnanu sinicovou biomasou (Microcystis sp.). Biomasa z Brněnské přehradní nádrže byla kultivována ve vodě obohacené arseničnanem po dobu 6 dnů. Voda a vodné extrakty biomasy byly analyzovány iontovou chromatografií s ICP-MS detekcí. Byla pozorována kvantitativní redukce na arsenitan, následovaná biomethylací na dimethylarseničnan (DMA). Monomethylarseničnan (MMA), DMA a obě anorganické specie byly nalezeny a stanoveny v extraktu biomasy i ve vodě. V biomase byly nalezeny také neznámé specie As. Pro jejich identifikaci byly použity různé metody, např. pH-specifické generování hydridů poukázalo na možnou přítomnost MMA(III) v biomase, jako meziproduktu biomethylace.
