Abstract
In this paper, we investigated relationships between Slovakian grammar school pupils attitudes to, and knowledge of, birds (n = 402 participants aged 10 - 19). We found that factual knowledge about birds was positive related to pupils attitudes toward birds. Younger pupils had better knowledge about birds than older pupils.

V štúdii sme sa zamerali na skúmanie vzřahov medzi postojmi a vedmosťami študentov slovenských gymnázií o vtákoch (n = 402 respondentov vo veku od 10 do 19 rokov). Zistile sme, že vedomosti o vtákoch poszitívne korelujú s postojmi k vtákom. Mladší žiaci dosahovali lepšie skóre vo vedmostiach ako ich starší spolužiaci.
