Autorka článku zaměřuje svoji pozornost na změny odvětvové struktury průmyslu po roce 1989. Tyto změny analyzuje a popisuje na konkrétním příkladu města Plzně, jež se z tradičního centra českého strojírenství transformovalo na centrum elektrotechniky.

The author of this article focuses her attention on changes of branch structure of industry after 1989. She analyses those changes and describes Plzen as a concrete example of transformation. Plzen has been transforming from the traditional center of the Czech engineering to the center of electrotechnics.
