Abstract
Light emitting diodes (LEDs) are nowadays commonly used light sources in analytical chemistry including separation science. In capillary electrophoresis (CE) and on microfluidic chips LEDs have been used increasingly frequently for photometric and fluorimetric detection. In this presentation, new options in light emitting diode-based photometric and fluorimetric detection systems for capillary electrophoresis and microfluidic chips will be outlined and discussed.
