Otázka otroctví v antickém Řecku je velmi zajímavou oblastí vědeckého zájmu: jednak je možné sledovat jisté rozdíly ve srovnání s jinými starověkými státy, jednak ale také určité specifické skupiny obyvatelstva, které se navzájem lišily právním postavením nebo faktickými životními podmínkami. Právě z těchto aspektů je možné uvědomit si, jak pestrá byla starověká řecká společnost.

The question of the ancient Greece slavery is actually interesting field of scientific acivity: wether watching certain differences compared with some other ancient states or in the matter of some specific groups of the population, which differs from each other by their legal position or factual living conditions. Right on this aspect it is possible to realize to what extent varied mixture the ancient Greek society was.
